Eastern Europe offers you many opportunities to see parts of the Old World that have not been spoiled by Western commercialism. There are lakes, forests and cultures that have not yet been Westernized.
Poland is a particularly attractive tourist destination for those interested in broadening their perspectives.
If you travel to Poland you can pick your lodging from renovated castles, to 5 star hotels and rural agro tourist spots. Beyond that, camping facilities abound in Poland because of the wonderful forests and lakes and the popularity of camping among the Polish people themselves.
Accomodations in Poland depend on where you are. Warsaw can be described as a city of hotels. There are renovated hotels, new hotels and hotels under construction. Everywhere you go there are hotels. The city is replendent with top quality hotels owned by western hotel chains. The choice of the level of service, and price, is up to you. Hotels in the other major cities are similar. In the smaller cities you can find good hotels and excellent service.
Most tourists miss so much of Poland that is to be seen. They get into the tourists traps that abound in Warsaw, Krakow and Auschwitz. It is understandable because there is so little information about traveling in Poland that gives you opportunities to see so much more. But it is there and you can find so much to do when you take a little time.

Long ago the it was discovered that the salt mines had curative powers that helped people with problems that they could not otherwise cure. This has lead to the development of clinics at the salt mines that specialize in asthma and other cures.
Combining medical tourism with a recreational tours is
very popular. People who come to Poland to see the country find an excellent chance to get that otherwise very expensive dental work done at reasonable prices. And they don't stop at dental work. They consider everything from liposuction to penis enlargement.

At the same time, they often offer you the ability to see things that you might not have known existed. At times they have special arrangements with shops so that you can get better prices on such things as amber and crystal when you come to the shop with the tour guide.
There are several old line, major tourist agencies in Poland that can help you with all your needs for traveling to Eastern Europe. They will help you with group tours, individual tours and organize special events for you or your group. Some of these agencies have offices throughout the European Union and the United States.
Of course, you can make your own travel arrangements on line. Even so, surveys show that more than two thirds of the travel arrangements are made off line. That means that people use either a travel agent or make their own reservations after finding information on the internet. They find that there is nothing like personal service.
In any case, your search will generally start on the internet. You can search by region or by topic. One of the first thing that you might consider doing is looking at maps of Poland. They will give you ideas to start. Additionally, you wil find them useful later.
